Friday 24th October
This photo was taken yesterday so as you can see we are making progress.
Gwillam from Framewise came Monday, Tuesday and yesterday to do some snagging jobs and you may be able to just make out the red bits. These are "fire socks". He also stapled down the silver paper properly using staples about 6 inches long! so they should stay in!
Christine and Martin came Tuesday and stayed over to help with the installation of the heat exchange unit. Of course this wasn't easy as the plan showed us going through a glulam beam or even in one case a steel girder so needless to say it had to be re-routed. However they managed to do quite a lot and Christine and I cleared loads of wood and rubbish from the site and generally helped. We then planned where lights, switches and sockets might go. That took quite a long time. Christine plotted them on a plan and we only need about 80 double sockets!
Picture taken yesterday with a bit more done on the back. Alan is doing a great job. Ken and Ann came from the church to see how we were getting on and were amazed to see the house up and looking like a house.
Garage arrived today. Phoned Wayne from the local tree nursery who came with his manitou and helped offload. Once again driver and no lifting gear and also driver is not supposed to help lift but he did lift a couple for us.
Now shrouded in tarpaulin to prevent getting too wet before we can assemble the kit.
