Alan, the builder, is on holiday and the timber frame arrival has been put back until the 26th of August, so there won't be much to report on until then.
We will, of course, be making some little purchases (roof, windows and doors, heating, floor screed etc) and will be doing small jobs such as digging out for drainage and burying cables and pipes. This is also the time when we can sift the excavated soil and level out the plot - which we were going to start today, but rain stopped play.
We will keep the blog updated during this slack period, but there won't be much going on; so for the meantime here's a selfie - our first ever! - of us in our working clothes outside the cabin we use as a site office (which our grandchildren call "the Shack") in the rain.
