Getting Closer

Monday 25th August

Too wet to do anything until about 3pm so we didn't get much done

Tuesday 26th
Arrived early to await delivery of soil pipes.  Found out won't arrive until tomorrow

Wednesday 27th
Christine and Martin came and helped again so got a lot done. They painted to rails that had been delivered and then Dave had to practically re-make the box as we had piled the soil so high that it had all bowed.
Whilst he was doing that we shifted 2 stacks of bricks (800) as the contractors want a clear space.
Drain pipes arrived and all had to shifted.

Wayne (from the local nursery) pitched up just as we were getting ready to go home.
He loaded two huge trailer loads with his tractor and bucket and took it all away.
It was getting too dark to do any more, but site looking a lot clearer.
Just the pile of hardcore to move tomorrow and generally clear up

Thursday 28th
Quite a sunny day hurrah!
Cleared rest of soil and rubbish that Wayne couldn't lift and it built a temporary flower bed, spread hardcore for crane to stand on.
We are going to fill this with bulbs for the spring.
It now looks like this
We are now ready for Monday for when the frame arrives.
All we need now is the scaffold which has been delayed until Saturday.
