Rainbow (Cottage)

Wednesday 24th September
Cloudy start to the day and then a beautiful rainbow - quite appropriate over Rainbow cottage.

By the end of Thursday all this had been done.
You can just see me in the foreground (Su) bending down

Thursday 25th September
Went to pick up Christine and Martin so they could see progress made so far and also help.  We made yet another wood box - we seem to have wood everywhere- and some of it will make some lovely shelves in due course.

 Friday 25th September

Really busy day today.  We made a start on the inside sweeping up and chipping off dry concrete to make sure we are ready on Monday to start laying down insulation on the floor.
The steel girders the men were waiting for finally arrived about 3pm just as they were trying to get an early finish for the weekend!  They nearly busted a gut getting them off.  Don't understand why goods are sent without proper handling gear - a bit later and there would only have been us two here making it impossible to get the girders off.

Some more roof tiles arrived - although we still seem to be short by about 5,000.
Site is really full up with materials now, ready for a big push next week.

This is me at the end of the day sweeping up on the upper floor.
I am in what will be a small toilet.

Plane flying overhead - we get quite a few on a Friday and Saturday and also some parachutists - Dave managed to capture one by standing on the top scaffold.
