Popping it on now means you have two versions of Joan and Barry's visit, but it also means you have our visit to the factory - though it appears now that they may have just made this frame to try and appease us.
Friday 29th August
Went to Presteigne to see frame being made - but..
first of all we were told that the machine was down and then given the bad news that delivery of the frame would be delayed another week.
The excuse this time was that the erectors had let them down and they were struggling to get a replacement team.
We went down onto the factory floor and they had started ours by hand.
On this frame you can see our name clearly printed with the ref number of where the fame will be placed.
Went on from there to Telford to see the window factory. They have confirmed that the roof windows will be sent on ahead of time and the frames will be double checked, once the walls are in, before they actually make them.
Saturday 30th August
Scaffolding arrived about 11.40. Went for a walk with Christine and Martin, got back and the scaffolders were just driving out! They had laid poles and boards and fixings all over the place - presumably where they will want them when they come back so it looked like a bomb had dropped!!
We all moved the poles to allow room for the cars to turn round and then decided just to go to Sainsbury's and then back to flat.
Sunday 31st August
Aunty Joan, Uncle Barry, cousin Howard and Gwen came to visit. Joan and Barry now live in Spain and Howard and Gwen live in Birkenhead and we haven't seen Howard for years and years, so it was great to catch up.
