More frustrations

Wednesday 17th September

Crane arrived 7.15 - a much bigger one than before.
Erection team were hot on their heels ready to make an early start.
All we need now is rest of frame.

8.50 am and the scaffolders arrive to put up rest of scaffold needed plus internal frame to work from,

Still no frame! What a surprise!!


10.45 am and the second lorry with frame arrives.
Jiggle around with the various vehicles on site to allow access for this huge lorry and then crane unloaded in less than an hour.
Team quickly set to getting bits craned into place.

By 4pm crane and erection team left site and this is how far they got.

Good days work.

Unfortunately there is not much we can do whilst they are working so lots of sitting around and watching.

Discovered the flooring they sent is wrong size so now have to wait for correct ones to be sent - hopefully tomorrow.

Thursday 18th September

Framewise said they would try and get new floor out today but couldn't promise but Sam and Paul said they really needed it.  They had to change more of the internal walls as they were too tall.

Replacement flooring arrived just as we were going have lunch.  Christine and Martin, Dave and I along with the driver lifted them all off and piled them.  Much better quality.

Bio disc arrived (poo box) basically it is what the loos empty into and then it all gets filtered, and purified. We were not expecting it until 29th as we were told we would need mechanical handling gear.  However with the aid of some planks and Sam and Paul helping we all managed to get it off the lorry and into a reasonable place as the hole will be dug near here. 

By 3.15 this is what the down stairs looks like.

4pm and boys packed up to go home - achieved a lot today.
