Tuesday 9th December
Another hectic week
Last week was a particularly hard one.
Dave was really ill - had food poisoning and so was forced to spend Thursday in bed (hardly ever heard of!!) Although he is still not fully recovered he is battling on (as usual).
Cills arrived on Friday and by the end of the day they had put them in place - well most of them anyway.
As you can see brickwork is progressing well and unless it is particularly cold or chucking it down they plod on.
The round window holes are now looking circular as opposed to square as Gwillam also came on to install profiles. Hopefully we will have glass in them before Christmas.
Dave and Martin been plodding on with cable feeding - looks like we will use a couple of miles before we have finished for lights and power sockets and they have to battle large steel girders and glulam beams so sometimes have quite a wide path to deviate.
This just shows the insulation. We have two layers of the soft stuff and then we are putting on solid insulation - this bungalow should not be cold!
The solid insulation has proved to be difficult - screws were just pulling through so had to resort to using large red washers - and of course the insulation doesn't reach from batten to batten - oh no that would be too easy!
