Feature window arrives

 They finished off windows and fascias, gutters etc. but the only thing hey couldn't do was the finial at the top of the fascia over the door.  This is because they come in standard sizes and we needed an extra large one so Dave made one - not bad eh?
Front door is the third one now and still not right - the glass in the door is a different glass to the glass in the side panels and the arched bit.  Dave prefers the glass in the door anyway.

 Feature window was delivered on Friday and it makes an enormous amount of difference to the light coming in - mind you we have had tarpaulin over it for a couple of weeks as they had to take the plastic out to do the stone headers.
All we need to do now is sort the builders materials in the front.  Actually we have started clearing but we need to get the inside ready for our pending move on Thursday.

As you can we get electric from the garage at the moment and use a long lead.










 Dave making a frame for a wardrobe in what we are calling the music room.  this is located on the mezzanine floor but will serve as our bedroom pro-tem.

 Tuesday
Electrician came and fixed the problem with it tripping all the time.  He had to put in a new earth connection.  He will come back Friday and get us up and running in the house.
In the meantime Dave has wired the lights in the music room and so we have got a couple of lights to tide us over.

Dave had put in the sink in the toilet next to the music room - but so far only cold water connected so we could be boiling kettles over the weekend to have a wash!  Mind you we are getting there. If you look carefully you can see the loo in the loft, waiting to be fitted by the basin.
I haven't been sitting on my btm - been painting and have done ceiling in the study and a couple of walls.  Problem is that the plaster is still wet and so can only paint where it has dried out completely.
